Key responsibilities include:
• Design, develop, and maintain core automation workflows for content lifecycle management using Python, APIs, and agentic workflows, connecting Translation Management Systems (TMS) with content sources and internal tools.
• Research, evaluate, and implement cutting-edge localization technologies, including AI/LLM-based solutions and advanced TMS features to improve quality, speed, and cost-effectiveness.
• Serve as the technical authority for resolving high-impact architectural failures, conducting root cause analysis on complex integration issues, file parsing conflicts, and system-wide bottlenecks.
• Provide expert technical guidance to product and engineering teams on internationalization (i18n), including code audits and best practices to ensure new features are architected for seamless localization.
• Act as primary technical owner of Translation Management Systems (e.g., XTM, Smartling), responsible for configuration, maintenance, and optimization.
• Develop and deploy self-service tools for development teams, such as pseudo-localization pipelines and i18n auditing tools, enabling early detection of UI issues before translation.
Required qualifications: 6-8 years of software or globalization engineering experience with proven track record architecting localization solutions at scale. Expert-level Python proficiency and API integration skills. Experience with enterprise CMS/MSM platforms (Adobe Experience Manager). Hands-on experience implementing AI in localization workflows. Deep technical understanding of TMS architecture, content parsing, and file formats (JSON, XML, XLIFF, properties). Ability to conduct code-level i18n reviews. Strong analytical problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple technical projects simultaneously.
Preferred: CI/CD pipeline familiarity, Git and automated testing frameworks, data analysis and workflow performance reporting.
