Tenstorrent is a cutting-edge AI technology company developing high-performance RISC-V CPUs and AI platforms. The company is seeking a Global Supply Chain Manager to lead strategic sourcing and supplier management for memory and storage components, including DRAM and NAND-based storage products (SSDs). In this role, you will own the complete commodity strategy for memory and storage, from new product introduction through volume production. You will manage direct relationships with global memory and storage manufacturers and authorized distributors, negotiate pricing and supply agreements, and ensure capacity commitments align with product requirements and build plans. Working cross-functionally with Hardware Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Procurement, you will translate demand forecasts and supplier roadmaps into sourcing and inventory decisions. Key responsibilities include: - Developing and executing global memory and storage commodity strategy, including supplier selection, sourcing plans, and commercial agreements - Leading pricing and contract negotiations with manufacturers and supply partners on volume tiers, allocation commitments, lead times, payment terms, and inventory liability - Partnering with Hardware Engineering and NPI teams to align sourcing with product requirements and supplier technology roadmaps - Translating product forecasts into demand plans and aligning supplier capacity and delivery commitments with build schedules - Managing supply continuity, inventory exposure, and supply risk; resolving allocation and delivery issues - Monitoring DRAM and NAND market conditions and recommending sourcing actions - Leading supplier business reviews and corrective actions The role is hybrid, based in Toronto, ON; Austin, TX; or Santa Clara, CA. REQUIREMENTS: - Experienced in strategic sourcing or commodity management for memory and storage, with knowledge of DRAM components, modules (including DDR memory), and NAND-based storage products (SSDs) - Understanding of the supplier ecosystem, technology roadmaps, qualification requirements, and commercial dynamics of these commodities - Proven track record managing direct relationships with global memory and storage manufacturers and authorized distributors - Experience negotiating pricing, supply agreements, and capacity commitments - Structured, analytical approach to translating demand forecasts, supplier roadmaps, lead times, and market conditions into sourcing decisions - Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with engineering and operations teams - Ability to balance long-term supplier strategy with daily execution, including allocation negotiations and shortage recovery - U.S. export control compliance eligibility required (role involves access to export-controlled technology)
