Rubrik Professional Services is seeking a Global Solutions Architect to serve as the senior technical authority for public cloud architecture. This is a Technical Director-level individual contributor role based in APAC, responsible for setting architectural direction across Rubrik's cloud deployments globally.
You will own the global cloud architecture standard for Professional Services, including reference architectures, design patterns, and guardrails. You'll serve as the final technical escalation point for cloud architecture decisions on strategic engagements worldwide and define the technical shape of cloud service offerings.
Key responsibilities include leading the most complex, highest-visibility customer engagements (multi-region, multi-cloud, multi-regulator estates), serving as trusted advisor to customer CIOs, CTOs, and CISOs, and defending design decisions before architecture review boards. You'll partner with Sales and Pre-Sales on strategic pursuits, lead design workshops, and represent Rubrik at conferences and customer advisory boards.
You will scale your impact through the practice by building intellectual property—reference architectures, deployment automation, design templates, and delivery accelerators. You'll mentor and develop Solutions Architects and senior consultants across all regions, define technical competency standards, and help set hiring bars through technical interviews.
You'll also influence product direction by acting as the field's credible voice into Product Management and Engineering, backed by evidence from large deployments. You'll shape roadmap priorities, cloud-native feature direction, and partner with Support and Customer Success on systemic technical issues.
Required: 15+ years overall experience including 8+ years as a hands-on cloud architect at enterprise scale. Demonstrated ownership of multi-region, multi-account/subscription cloud estates in large enterprises or consulting organizations. Expert-level AWS and Azure expertise; GCP strongly preferred. Deep understanding of enterprise data protection, cyber resilience, RTO/RPO modeling, backup and recovery design. Working fluency in cloud security and compliance frameworks. Strong automation background with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep), scripting (Python, PowerShell), API-first integration, and CI/CD. Track record of influence without authority across global, matrixed organizations.
