Saronic Technologies, founded in 2022 and headquartered in Austin, TX, is a leader in autonomous surface vessels for maritime defense. The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Operator role is central to delivering seamless customer service and incident management across the organization's security infrastructure.
In this position, you will monitor physical security systems and respond to incidents in real-time, working closely with Risk Intelligence, IT, and InfoSec teams to investigate and resolve security events. You'll serve as a first responder, notifying incident commanders and escalating issues according to established protocols. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills for physical security systems and the ability to collaborate across business units to resolve complex incidents quickly.
Key responsibilities include monitoring for and responding to physical security incidents, participating in regular incident response training and exercises, reporting system malfunctions to the Security Systems team, and maintaining a culture of customer service excellence. You'll handle sensitive information with discretion and be expected to assess risk and make informed decisions during fast-paced, mission-critical situations.
The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience in a physical security role, solid knowledge of physical security systems, and proven incident response experience. You should be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and communicating clearly both verbally and in writing. A high school diploma is required; an associate or bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Studies, or a related field is preferred.
This is an in-office role in Austin with extended hours possible to support mission-critical operations. The position involves prolonged periods at a desk working on computers, with occasional lifting of items up to 20 pounds.
