Salary: USD 90,000 - 130,000 / annual
iCapital is seeking a Payroll Associate to join the Corporate Finance team and support the Global Payroll function. This role manages payroll operations across multiple countries (US, Canada, UK, Hong Kong, Singapore, Portugal, Switzerland, and Japan), handling both in-house and outsourced payroll systems.
Key responsibilities include reconciling payroll changes such as salary adjustments, location transfers, leaves, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and one-time payments like referral awards and relocation stipends. The role involves reviewing and finalizing timesheets for US non-exempt employees, managing garnishments and deduction corrections, and serving as the primary contact for employee payroll inquiries via email and ticketing systems.
You will manage relationships with payroll service partners, coordinate payroll reconciliation and approval processes in partnership with Corporate Finance, and handle state employment tax requirements and global compliance filings. Additional duties include assisting with year-end processes, coordinating audit responses for internal and external payroll audits, and compliance reporting including 401(k) and Workers Compensation.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, with experience as a Payroll Specialist managing multi-state or global payroll. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation and Dayforce experience are strongly preferred. You should demonstrate in-depth knowledge of payroll processing, payroll taxes, federal/state/local regulations, and proficiency with payroll software and automated systems. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential, along with exceptional attention to detail when handling sensitive employee data.
