TRM Labs is an AI-powered intelligence platform helping public and private sector agencies investigate and disrupt crime, particularly crypto-enabled fraud and illicit activity. As a Global Investigator on the triage team, you will serve as the first line of operational defense in a fast-moving crypto disruption pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process inbound complaint data and validate outputs from TRM's AI investigation platform, handling hundreds of dispositions per week
- Route cases into investigative pipelines that result in frozen scam proceeds and seized assets
- Make disposition decisions that determine whether complaints become freezes, takedowns, recovery handoffs, legal-process drafts, victim notifications, or closures
- Catch AI errors including false positives, merged syndicates, and misclassified scam patterns before they propagate downstream
- Enrich complaint selectors using a stack of 40+ commercial data-source integrations
- Own clean shift handoffs to maintain around-the-clock operation continuity, providing EMEA-hours coverage
- Coordinate with global teammates on time-sensitive handoffs, enabling near follow-the-sun coverage
- Participate in formal on-call rotation for high-priority events (hacks, law-enforcement support, time-sensitive matters) with weekly rotation and occasional weekend coverage
- React quickly to incoming complaint surges and live takedown events
- Continuously learn new patterns in crypto-enabled crime
The role sits at the intersection of AI, national security, and crime-fighting. TRM operates at high velocity with high ownership expectations, moving with speed and adaptability. The environment is fast-paced and fluid, with priorities and scope shifting quarter to quarter. You will work alongside seasoned investigators and intelligence-trained individual contributors designed to accelerate your development.

- Excitement to deepen blockchain analysis skills
- Comfort operating in fast-paced, fluid environments where scope and emphasis shift frequently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity, maintain focus in high-intensity environments, and demonstrate high personal ownership and accountability
