Neko Health is redefining preventative care by making data-driven health insights accessible before symptoms appear. The company combines proprietary technology with clinical care to deliver personalized, actionable insights in non-invasive visits under an hour.
As Global Health and Safety Lead, you will establish and oversee all health and safety standards, processes, and compliance across Neko's clinic network as it scales to hundreds of locations globally. This is a foundational build role where you will create the systems, standards, and governance that ensure every clinic opening is safe and legally compliant across different markets.
In your first 6–12 months, you will:
**Clinic Openings:** Develop a repeatable, scalable opening process with health and safety standards and sign-offs for new clinics. Map legal requirements in each market and establish global standards with local adaptations. Conduct health and safety due diligence for new sites and markets. Integrate safety into clinic design and construction through contractor requirements, site audits, and safety briefings. Coordinate emergency and evacuation plans with the Global Security Lead.
**Risk Management and Infrastructure:** Build a global health and safety management system adapted locally for each market. Conduct risk assessments covering fire safety, first aid, manual handling, and medical equipment use. Establish controls for clinic-specific hazards including clinical waste and medical equipment operation. Implement a risk-based audit program with regular performance reporting to the COO.
**Day-to-Day Operations:** Own Neko's health and safety management across all clinics and offices. Oversee routine maintenance and compliance checks for building risks (fire, water hygiene, electrical, lifts). Establish robust incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action processes including statutory regulatory reporting. Develop induction and ongoing training for clinic teams, including fire wardens and first aiders.
**Technology:** Select and implement systems to manage health and safety globally at scale.
You will influence operations, construction, and senior leadership teams without direct authority, and travel regularly between markets.
**Requirements:**
- 8+ years of health and safety experience, including responsibility across more than one country
- Recognized professional qualification (NEBOSH Diploma, CMIOSH, or equivalent)
- Experience building or running a health and safety management system, ideally ISO 45001 certified
- Hands-on experience with construction or fit-out safety for new commercial sites
- Track record of leading incident investigations and driving corrective actions to completion
- Ability to influence operations, construction, and senior leadership teams without direct authority
- Ability to travel regularly between markets
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Background in multi-site, public-facing businesses (healthcare, fitness, wellness, co-working, tech, retail, hospitality)
- Experience in regulated environments involving medical equipment or quality management systems
- Experience managing contractor safety on new builds
- ISO 45001 lead auditor training or equivalent
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in Neko's global markets
- Experience building a health and safety function as a business scales from few to many sites
- Experience selecting and implementing systems to manage health and safety at scale
