As Global Category Manager for Fiber, you will lead end-to-end category strategy and supplier management for Crusoe Cloud's data center fiber infrastructure. This is a strategic, single-threaded leadership role reporting into procurement/supply chain leadership, responsible for driving cost efficiency, supply resilience, and strategic partnerships across global regions.
Key responsibilities include: developing and executing global sourcing and category strategies aligned with company objectives; evaluating and managing relationships with key global fiber suppliers (indoor plant, outdoor plant, in-the-row connectivity, cabling); leading complex contract negotiations to secure favorable pricing and terms; conducting comprehensive risk management and contingency planning across the supply base; coordinating cross-functional teams (engineering, data center ops, finance) to align category needs; analyzing global spend and market conditions to identify cost savings; leading quarterly business reviews with strategic suppliers; and championing sustainability practices in procurement.
You will need 5–7+ years of strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement experience, ideally in data center infrastructure, cloud, or hardware supply chains. A proven track record managing global supply chains, complex supplier relationships, and vendor compliance at scale is essential. Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills are required. Experience with hyperscalers, OEM/ODMs, or infrastructure providers is highly valued. Bonus qualifications include managing global categories across multiple regions, specific experience with data center fiber infrastructure, professional supply chain certifications (CPSM, CSCP, CPIM), or familiarity with AI/data center infrastructure supply chains.
