Flexport.org, the humanitarian arm of Flexport, is seeking a Global Aid Account Manager to own complex, high-impact partner relationships with nonprofits, NGOs, and mission-driven organizations. You will manage a portfolio of multi-modal accounts spanning ocean, air, trucking, and customs services, operating with full autonomy to drive program growth and retention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end success for a portfolio of complex, multi-modal partner accounts with significant growth potential and high operational intensity
- Lead RFP bids and contract renewals from start to finish
- Serve as a strategic partner to humanitarian organizations, diving deep into their supply chain operations to identify where Flexport can reduce costs, add capability, or improve speed
- Lead high-impact business reviews (QBRs/MBRs) that provide market context, multi-modal insights, and tailored recommendations aligned with each partner's mission
- Drive expansion across Flexport's full product suite while meeting or exceeding growth and retention targets
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Pricing, Legal, Trade Lane Management, and other Flexport.org teams on solutions requiring alignment and creative problem-solving
- Mentor account team members by sharing playbooks, joining key partner calls, and elevating team performance
- Leverage AI-enabled tools to automate and improve internal and partner-facing processes
You will own Flexport.org's most complex and meaningful partner relationships, where impact is greatest. You'll have a visible role in shaping how the account team operates, with your judgment and approach setting the standard. You'll contribute to team playbooks, onboarding content, and process improvements while gaining a front-row seat to Flexport.org's mission of getting aid to people who need it, on time.
Requirements:
- 5+ years in account management, business development, or similar partner-facing role
- Background in logistics, supply chain, humanitarian aid, or international development strongly preferred
- Track record of independently managing and growing a complex, multi-product book of business
- Deep understanding of global trade and supply chain operations across multiple modes (ocean, air, trucking, customs)
- Comfort operating without a playbook in ambiguous or novel situations, with judgment to create playbooks for others
- Strong commercial instincts; ability to spot growth opportunities before partners ask and close them
- Genuine curiosity about the humanitarian and development space; desire to become an expert in aid logistics
- Natural tendency to develop others; peers and junior teammates improve from working with you
- Compliance-first mindset; ability to operate in a heavily regulated industry with trust from partners and regulators
