Salary: EUR 67,500 - 106,835 / annual
DePuy Synthes (part of Johnson & Johnson MedTech) is seeking a Germany Pricing Specialist to support the development and implementation of pricing strategies for the German market. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Hamburg.
As a seasoned individual contributor, you will work independently with minimal supervision, leading regional initiatives on price calculations, pricing strategies, and market trend analysis. You will produce reports on consumer health trend data, define programs for client relationships and the pricing lifecycle process, and analyze pricing proposals for feasibility. You will advise on organizational standards relative to product performance and ensure customer expectations align with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate regular reviews of departmental pricing analysis reports and management reporting
- Assess and track pricing KPIs; conduct ad hoc analysis and reporting to measure against pricing goals and targets
- Support pricing management through evaluation of current pricing models and customer wins, identifying opportunities for additional business
- Analyze current pricing models and structures to identify areas for improvement and pricing efficiencies
- Coordinate with sales teams and commercial stakeholders to execute and administer timely, accurate price list updates or changes, ensuring compliance with all SOX control requirements
- Provide recommendations on alternate pricing models to management to secure key customer business and support business plan development
- Coach junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities
- Embody Johnson & Johnson Credo and Leadership Imperatives in daily interactions
Note: Johnson & Johnson has announced plans to separate its Orthopaedics business to establish DePuy Synthes as a standalone company. This separation is anticipated to be completed within 18–24 months. Upon completion, you would become an employee of DePuy Synthes, with employment governed by DePuy Synthes policies and benefit plans.
Requirements:
- Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Controlling, Data Analytics, or related field preferred; alternatively, completed vocational qualification (Ausbildung) with relevant professional experience
- Several years of professional experience in Pricing, Commercial Excellence, Financial Analysis, Business Analytics, or comparable role
- Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting complex data sets and pricing structures
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools and ERP systems preferred
- Ability to translate complex information into clear insights and present recommendations effectively to different audiences
- Self-driven, structured, and solution-oriented working style with ability to manage priorities independently
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to build effective relationships with various stakeholders
- Fluent German (required); English proficiency preferred
