POSH is a community-building platform that has grown to 10M+ users and $70M in venture funding over 6 years. The company is now launching an experiential arm to extend its product offering and create tangible brand moments for consumers and organizers.
You will serve as General Manager of Posh Experiences, owning two P&Ls and a multi-million dollar annual budget: (1) a permanent venue in New York that serves the local user base and top organizers, and (2) a curated portfolio of social experiences ranging from monthly multi-thousand-attendee marquee events (block parties, food festivals) to smaller weekly recurring experiences that build community and repeat attendance.
Your mandate in year one is to achieve break-even while measurably shifting how the world perceives Posh. From there, you'll optimize for profitability while building the team, systems, and vendor relationships that make Posh Experiences a sustainable competitive advantage.
You are the CEO of this business within the business. You own outcomes including contribution margin, ticket revenue and attendance, venue utilization, repeat attendance and retention, and earned brand attention. You report directly to the CEO and work in-person 5 days per week at the Soho office.
Key responsibilities include: defining the Experiences brand and guardrails; building a 2-year roadmap that sequences venue programming, marquee events, and recurring experiences; owning the full P&L including budget, forecast, and unit economics; hiring and managing the team plus production partners and vendors; getting the venue to monthly break-even in year one while optimizing the calendar for both public and private events; programming and executing large-format marquee events; building a portfolio of smaller weekly recurring experiences; managing ticket revenue, CAC, pricing, and the full marketing funnel; handling permitting, security, insurance, and city relationships; and documenting the venue prototype for replication in other markets.
You will collaborate with Posh's organizer community team, marketing, and product teams to offer the space as a perk for top organizers and to host exclusive experiences for high-retention consumers.
