Jetson is building the first fully vertically integrated home electrification company, on a mission to accelerate the transition of 100 million homes across North America away from fossil fuels toward sustainable energy. The company solves the adoption barrier for clean energy solutions like heat pumps by making them simple, transparent, and affordable through technology, automation, and data.
You will take ownership of Jetson's Colorado branch operations as General Manager, reporting directly to the Regional Manager. The market is live and growing with an existing playbook, but significant work remains to perfect and scale it. This role demands someone who thrives in ambiguity, can juggle multiple high-stakes priorities simultaneously, and delivers results in a rapidly evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the P&L for the Colorado branch and build it into a fully repeatable, scalable operation covering scheduling, installations, service calls, quality control, and safety compliance
- Build and lead a high-performing team of HVAC technicians, electricians, project coordinators, and administrative staff, adapting your leadership approach as market conditions and team needs evolve
- Lead from the ground every day, upholding Jetson culture and ensuring top talent recruitment aligned with company values
- Manage competing priorities and triage effectively without losing momentum on execution
- Mentor and develop your field force to deliver industry-leading customer experience
- Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships, holding partners accountable to quality and performance standards
- Establish local partnerships with utilities, contractors, and community organizations to drive brand awareness and customer acquisition
- Navigate local regulatory, permitting, and compliance requirements, including Colorado contractor licensing
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HQ teams (Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Product, Engineering, Customer Success) to improve products and align on strategic goals
- Use data and KPIs to drive continuous improvement and corporate alignment
- Provide regular financial and operational reporting to the executive team
Requirements:
- Proven track record of building or rebuilding processes in environments without a finished playbook, prioritizing and executing under constraint, and making sound decisions when multiple urgent priorities compete for attention
- Direct experience leading a field force of technicians, installers, or skilled trades workers in a home services or field service environment
- Entrepreneurial mindset with experience running a business or division with full P&L responsibility
- Demonstrated success building and developing high-performing teams from scratch, including recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and accountability
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills with a proven track record
- Proficiency in business software, CRM systems, and Google Workspace; experience with modern tools including AI to automate and improve operations
- Background in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or adjacent residential home improvement (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required)
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the service area
- Familiarity with OSHA Electrical Standard and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements
