Probably Genetic is a healthtech platform that discovers undiagnosed patients with severe, complex diseases, analyzes their disease state using machine learning and at-home testing, and enables compliant patient communication. The company helps patients access diagnoses, clinical trials, and treatments earlier. Backed by top-tier investors including Threshold, Khosla, and Y Combinator, Probably Genetic is preparing for Series B and expanding partnerships with drug developers and patient advocacy groups.
As Chief of Staff, you will serve as the CEO's right hand during a critical inflection point. You will operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, managing high-stakes initiatives and serving as a force multiplier across the leadership team.
Key responsibilities include:
**Venture Fundraising & Investor Relations (20%):** Own end-to-end Series B fundraising including due diligence materials, data room management, investor outreach, and pipeline management. Serve as primary coordination point between CEO and investors. Prepare board materials, manage board cadence, and draft investor updates and pitch narratives.
**CEO Leverage & Cross-Functional Execution (40%):** Reduce CEO operational overhead by 30%+ through owning recurring processes, decision tracking, and stakeholder communication. Lead cross-functional projects spanning multiple teams with clear ownership and timelines. Identify organizational bottlenecks and build scalable processes. Prepare CEO for key meetings with briefs, talking points, and follow-up documentation.
**Strategic External Communications (40%):** Own preparation and execution for quarterly board meetings and check-ins. Draft external communications on behalf of CEO including company-wide updates, partner communications, and thought leadership. Ensure consistent messaging reflecting company mission and values.

**Requirements:**
- 8+ years of experience with strong foundation in management consulting (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, or equivalent) and subsequent operating experience at high-growth startup
- Prior experience supporting or managing fundraising process (Series A through D ideally) with demonstrated understanding of investor relations and venture dynamics
- Track record operating at intersection of strategy and execution, comfortable in boardroom and building processes from scratch
- Experience in healthtech or biotech, or track record in highly complex industries
- Meticulous attention to detail; catches errors others miss and holds outputs to exceptionally high standard
- Proven, demonstrable AI literacy; actively uses AI tools beyond prompting in daily workflow and can lead others in doing the same
- Exceptional written communication with clarity, economy, and impact
- Skilled at managing multiple shifting priorities without dropping the ball; thrives in dynamic environments with changing roadmap
- High emotional intelligence and leadership presence; knows when to push, listen, and build trust quickly
- Collaborative, low-ego operating style focused on outcomes over credit
