The Spain engineering team is rapidly growing with greenfield projects across two product lines: comprehensive health insurance with mental health support, and a flexible healthy benefits platform (food, transport, learning, nursery). You'll work in a startup-like environment with significant product ownership.
As a Fullstack Software Engineer with 3+ years of experience, you'll tackle high-impact, high-risk projects involving multiple engineers. Key responsibilities include:
- Design and build provider-facing platforms that streamline healthcare operations for thousands of medical professionals across Spain
- Ship AI-powered tools helping members navigate healthcare—from appointment booking to specialist discovery
- Create delightful mobile and web experiences (React, React Native) that simplify healthcare access
- Build global-first infrastructure designed for reusability across markets, supporting Alan's international expansion
- Own critical product decisions as a domain expert, from system design to roadmap prioritization
- Mentor other engineers and lead cross-functional crews
- Contribute to hiring and shape the technical assessment process
The tech stack is Python/Flask, React, React Native, and PostgreSQL. You should be well-versed in Object-Oriented Programming (Python, Java, C#) and enthusiastic about modern JavaScript. Prior experience with Python or JavaScript is preferred but not required. The role emphasizes product interaction, fast execution, distributed ownership, and radical transparency.
