Diligent is seeking a Fullstack Software Engineer to join its Budapest-based team. The role focuses on building modern, responsive web applications using React and .NET, with an emphasis on leveraging AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and maintain high code quality.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing end-to-end product features, from sleek UI improvements to backend API integration
- Using agentic coding assistants (Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf) to accelerate development while maintaining critical code review and architectural standards
- Collaborating with cross-functional squads including product designers, managers, and peer engineers in an agile environment
- Participating in code reviews, optimizing performance, and championing clean-code practices
- Debugging and refactoring AI-generated code to ensure security, test coverage, and scalability
Required qualifications:
- Proven professional experience building modern web applications with JavaScript/TypeScript and component-based frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue)
- Full-stack awareness: comfortable with backend services, RESTful APIs, and data models
- Hands-on experience with AI development tools in daily workflows
- Strong debugging and code auditing skills with attention to edge cases and performance
- Product-first mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills
Desirable experience includes automated testing (Jest, Playwright, Cypress), Docker, CI/CD pipelines, custom agentic workflows, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
