Elliptic is the leader in digital asset decisioning and crypto intelligence, serving law enforcement, regulators, and major financial institutions to combat crypto crime. As a Fullstack Engineer on the Collection Engineering team, you'll build the tools and platform powering Elliptic's intelligence operations—the engine behind products used globally to fight financial crime.
You'll own the end-to-end pipeline that ingests, classifies, stores, and reviews intelligence before it reaches Elliptic's proprietary graph database at the heart of their market-leading products. Working alongside data scientists, analysts, and researchers, you'll design and build services and tooling that scale collection efforts, remove bottlenecks, and automate workflows so the intelligence team can focus on high-value human work.
Key responsibilities include: designing and building software tools to enhance intelligence collection and analysis (ranging from Kubernetes-deployed services to autonomous agents); collaborating with analysts and researchers to understand pain points and automate them with AI where appropriate; developing software to analyze and interpret cryptocurrency usage behaviors and trends; and implementing observability mechanisms to detect and resolve problems in production environments.
You should have a genuine interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchains from both technical and economic perspectives. Strong coding skills in TypeScript are essential, with proven ability to engineer production-grade solutions. You've successfully integrated disparate systems to increase operational efficiency. Critically, you've fundamentally changed how you work with AI—building with it rather than just using it for speed—and you're constantly exploring what it makes possible. You thrive in close-knit teams tackling highly impactful problems, communicate openly and effectively, and can form well-reasoned, evidence-based arguments to influence stakeholders. You understand when to build a PoC versus production software and are comfortable working across geographically distributed teams and timezones.
Required: production software shipping experience in commercial environments; proficiency in TypeScript with hands-on React and Nest.js experience; familiarity with Postgres and Kubernetes; experience with AWS, Terraform, and Datadog. Bonus: intelligence collection background, big data and data pipeline experience, or demonstrated transformative AI practice that raises the bar for your peers.
