Salary: USD 215,000 - 275,000 / annual
The Browser Company is hiring a Staff Full Stack Software Engineer to build enterprise administration and governance products for Dia, their browser platform. This is a zero-to-one role embedded with the Enterprise team, responsible for designing and shipping the Dia Admin Console end-to-end—including the web application, backend entitlement and provisioning APIs, and integrations with Atlassian's Admin Hub and commerce infrastructure.
You will own the complete technical direction for how enterprises deploy, govern, and pay for Dia. Key responsibilities include: designing and building a hosted web application where enterprise admins manage entitlements, configure identity policies, and monitor organizational usage; improving backend access controls through org and user entitlement modeling and provisioning/deprovisioning APIs; integrating Dia into Atlassian's admin surfaces so it appears as a first-party product; partnering directly with Atlassian's Admin Hub, Identity, and Commerce teams; and building enterprise-facing features including usage metering, self-serve onboarding, and administrative tooling.
Initial projects include the Dia Admin Console (org/user entitlement model, role-based access, policy configuration, usage reporting), provisioning lifecycle automation (making Admin Hub the source of truth for access), commerce and metering integration (emitting usage data and surfacing consumption limits), and broader enterprise enablement as the customer base grows.
You should have 8+ years building production web applications end-to-end, with equal comfort designing data models, writing APIs, and building user interfaces. You care deeply about admin and enterprise tools as products, believing that security and IT admins deserve the same craft as end users. While primarily web and backend focused, you're willing to learn Swift and Chromium to ship enterprise features in the native client when needed. You thrive in high-trust, high-ambiguity environments, are pragmatic and motivated by complex problems, and resonate with startup validation cycles. The role requires 4+ hours of overlap with Eastern Time Zone team members.
