Mercor is building the infrastructure layer between human expertise and frontier AI models. The company operates a platform where millions of domain experts train AI models, and is expanding into enterprise with Mercor Enterprise—helping Fortune 500 companies capture how their best people work and translate that expertise into AI agents. As a Full Stack Software Engineer on the Agent Platform team, you'll own the core system Mercor uses to build, run, and showcase AI agents. This platform serves dual purposes: it's the internal workbench your team relies on daily and the external storefront demoed to enterprise customers. You'll be responsible for both the React frontend interfaces and the backend services orchestrating agents, data, and integrations. Your impact will be direct and visible. Hundreds of internal users depend on this platform daily, as do dozens of enterprise clients running it in production. You'll ship features, reliability, and polish that make the platform indispensable while maintaining the polished, demo-ready quality required for customer-facing work. Key responsibilities include owning the full stack from React interfaces to backend APIs; enabling internal and external users through high-leverage product features; building foundational layers that let other teams stand up new agent use cases quickly; and translating ambiguous requirements into well-scoped technical solutions through collaboration with AI researchers, product, design, and operations. You should have 2+ years of fullstack engineering experience shipping production software. Deep proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (React + Next.js) and strong frontend architecture skills are essential. Solid backend experience in Python and/or Node.js—including relational databases, REST APIs, and async task infrastructure—is required. You'll need strong design sense, empathy for end-users, experience with complex high-throughput systems, high ownership mindset, and clear communication skills. Nice-to-haves include experience with agent frameworks, LLM-powered products, human-in-the-loop AI workflows, design systems, developer-facing APIs, internal platform engineering, AI tools, real-time data, or data visualization. Background at top-tier tech companies or fast-scaling startups is a plus. Mercor is a profitable Series C company valued at $10 billion, requiring in-person work five days a week in San Francisco, NYC, or London offices.
