Sunset is a rapidly scaling business process automation platform that helps companies manage complex operational workflows, from data integration to dissolution processes. Founded to support startups through shutdown, the company has expanded into a multi-eight-figure run-rate business by partnering with frontier AI labs to provide proprietary enterprise data for model training. As a Full-Stack Product Engineer, you will own complete customer problems across the full technology stack—from initial product discovery through reliable production systems. The role spans three interconnected product areas: acquiring internal enterprise work data from disparate SaaS tools and APIs, guiding companies through operational dissolution with software that handles forms, documents, permissions, and government obligations, and building tools around a de-identification pipeline that transforms sensitive data into trustworthy, de-identified datasets. You will work across UX, frontend, backend, data, testing, observability, and iteration. Rather than specializing in one layer, you'll build coherent vertical slices that solve real customer problems end-to-end. Specific responsibilities include: owning ambiguous problems from discovery through measurable production outcomes; designing and implementing complex workflows that make failure-prone processes understandable and recoverable; diagnosing difficult production behavior and removing root causes; establishing useful metrics and improving customer, team, quality, or reliability outcomes; creating reusable capabilities that accelerate future work; and using AI thoughtfully in development and product where it demonstrably improves outcomes. Success means shipping complete product improvements that customers trust and use, moving key metrics meaningfully from baseline, making complex system state understandable, reducing manual effort and support burden, and building reusable leverage for the team. You will work directly with Product, Design, customers, domain experts, and other engineers in a small, high-ownership environment where you will grow as quickly as the company scales.
