Future is building a personalized guidance system for lifelong health, combining AI, human expertise, personal health data, and accountability to help members improve performance and build long-term resilience.
You'll join as a Full-Stack Growth Engineer responsible for building and maintaining the product and systems that drive acquisition, conversion, onboarding, and early engagement. This is a hands-on role where you'll move between product judgment and system design, write production code, run trustworthy experiments, and turn learnings into durable improvements.
Key ownership areas include:
**Acquisition and Conversion**: Build web and product surfaces that introduce Future to prospective members and convert interest into signup, including landing experiences, checkout flows, and instrumentation that reveals dropoff points.
**Access and Onboarding**: Simplify signup, login, account creation, and first-session activation to remove friction, clarify value on Day 1, and help new members connect with coaching.
**Experimentation Systems**: Design, ship, and analyze A/B and multivariate tests across the funnel in partnership with data teams, ensuring experiment hygiene and fast learning.
**Full-Stack Delivery**: Implement features across frontend and backend—APIs, services, web UI, and integration between growth surfaces and core product. Prefer clear ownership and fast iteration.
**Measurement and Insight**: Instrument funnels, cohorts, and activation milestones. Use qualitative and quantitative signals to find leverage, prioritize work, and explain experiment outcomes.
**Reliability for Growth Paths**: Keep high-traffic growth journeys fast, stable, and observable with the same engineering care as core product.
**Cross-Functional Partnership**: Work tightly with product, design, data, and marketing to translate growth hypotheses into shippable work and bring engineering judgment to roadmap tradeoffs.
**AI-Assisted Development**: Use coding agents and AI tools to speed up exploration, implementation, testing, and review, applying engineering judgment to validate output.
You'll work on a small, senior team and ship experiments end-to-end while partnering closely across functions.
**Requirements:**
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with meaningful ownership of consumer growth, acquisition, activation, or conversion surfaces
- Strong full-stack capabilities: comfortable across modern web frontend and backend services, able to ship experiments from UI through API and data without waiting on other teams
- Proven track record running growth experiments in production (A/B tests, funnel instrumentation, iteration based on measured outcomes)
- Understanding of customer journeys: segments, touchpoints, dropoff analysis, and how product changes move activation and retention metrics
- Ability to debug across web UI, networking, backend services, analytics pipelines, and CI
- Experience partnering with product, design, and data (or marketing) to take ambiguous growth problems from hypothesis to shipped learning
- Write clear, maintainable code with care for experiment integrity, observability, and long-term operability
- Use AI coding tools in development workflow and know how to verify their output
- Care about health, fitness, and helping people start and stick with better habits
- Bias to action then measure; ship small, learn, and compound
- Raise concerns early with possible solutions; share context and keep partners aligned
- Take ownership from discovery through production support
- Balance growth urgency with product quality and member trust
**Nice to Have:**
- Experience at consumer subscription, marketplace, or membership products where acquisition and activation were core to business
- Familiarity with HIPAA and regulations applying to health products
- Experience with paid acquisition landing systems, attribution, SEO/organic surfaces, lifecycle messaging, or referral loops
- Experience building or evolving experimentation platforms, feature flags, or analytics instrumentation at scale
- Background in fitness, health, coaching, or personalized consumer products
- Prior work on expert tooling, internal operator workflows, or coach-facing surfaces
