WellTheory is a digital health company serving people with autoimmune conditions through personalized care, nutrition guidance, and coaching. This role is a Full Stack Engineer focused on support and reliability—you'll own the triage, investigation, and resolution of issues across the member app, Care Hub (clinical tooling for care teams), and internal tools and data pipelines.
Your responsibilities include: triaging issues to size impact and determine next steps; investigating root causes using Sentry, GCP logs, and the codebase; shipping fixes when warranted; unblocking reporters quickly; maintaining a prioritized backlog of recurring issues; writing runbooks and building alerts to reduce future ticket volume; and using AI and automation to scale your impact. You'll work closely with the Member Support Specialist and Care Team, join a small senior engineering team, and report to the Co-Founder & CPO. The team is fully remote and values generalists who learn fast and make good trade-offs.
You should be a detective who follows threads through logs and errors, prioritize impact over effort, stay calm under pressure, communicate clearly and concisely, and care about the person on the other end of each issue. You're curious, know when to ask for help, and prefer to automate recurring problems rather than repeat manual fixes.
Bonus experience includes prior roles as a support, sustaining, or forward-deployed engineer; building internal tools, dashboards, or bots that eliminated support friction; healthcare domain knowledge or passion for autoimmune or women's health outcomes; or demonstrated resilience and achievement in challenging circumstances.
REQUIREMENTS:

- Current US work authorization (visa sponsorship not available)
- Access to protected health information
- Stack familiarity: TypeScript/JavaScript, React, React Native, Node, Postgres, GCP, Sentry, GCP logs, Linear, Slack (not all required)
