Mollie is a European fintech platform serving 250,000+ businesses with payments and money management solutions. The Partner Experience team, part of Mollie's Connect product suite, focuses on self-serve integration tools for platforms and marketplaces to offer payments to their merchants.
As a Full Stack Engineer II, you will own end-to-end product development across frontend, backend, and full-stack systems. You'll design and build APIs, services, and embedded components that power the self-serve integration experience, including Connect activation, payment API exposure, and multi-sub-merchant support. This role involves genuine ownership from ideation through production, with responsibility for system design, performance measurement, and product trade-off decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Taking end-to-end ownership of features from conception through testing and production measurement
- Designing and maintaining APIs and services across frontend and backend, with focus on self-serve integration
- Building large-scale systems handling high transaction volumes with system-design thinking
- Collaborating with Product Management to shape the self-serve track and weigh product trade-offs
- Managing context across multiple interacting systems in a fast-paced environment
- Challenging ideas and bringing your own perspective to product decisions
You'll bring 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with genuine full-stack capability. Strong frontend skills in React, React Native, and TypeScript combined with real backend system design experience are essential. You have a product mindset, ask questions, and are comfortable making decisions in complex product spaces. Experience building embedded components for platform or infrastructure use cases is valued. You thrive in broad-scope environments where work is sometimes vague and context shifts frequently, and you excel at weighing options and trade-offs rather than just executing specs.
Mollie emphasizes autonomy, craft, and long-term thinking. The company operates in small teams with real ownership, provides balanced work environments, and supports personal growth through regular feedback, transparent salary reviews, and internal mobility opportunities.
