Scopely, a leading mobile games publisher behind MONOPOLY GO!, Pokémon GO, and WWE Champions, is hiring a Full Stack Engineer to join the WWE Champions team. This role bridges backend and client development, requiring expertise in both Python/Django backend systems and Unity (C#) game client development. You will contribute to high-impact initiatives across the full technology stack, supporting the technical roadmap for scalable, high-performance gaming architecture. Key responsibilities include collaborating on live-ops excellence (incident management, reliability improvements, service maintenance), designing and delivering features that connect backend services with Unity client requirements, and working cross-functionally with Product, Design, QA, and Analytics teams. You'll own hands-on feature development across both codebases, identify and mitigate technical debt, and help improve overall team velocity. The role requires balancing backend knowledge with strong Unity development skills and the ability to solve complex technical challenges in a live-service gaming environment. Required experience: 3+ years in gaming or large-scale live-service software development. Strong proficiency in Python/Django backend engineering and production-level Unity (C#) development. Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure, modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, containerization), and data-driven content pipelines. Experience building player-facing features (progression, social, live events, monetization) and understanding the interplay between backend services and game clients. You should have a Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. A collaborative, proactive mindset with high ownership of technical outcomes is essential.
