Astranis builds advanced satellites for high orbits serving large enterprises, sovereign governments, and the US military. The company operates five satellites on orbit with a backlog exceeding $1 billion in commercial contracts. As a Full Stack Engineer on the Enterprise Systems team, you will design and maintain scalable software systems that support spacecraft development, testing, manufacturing, and flight operations. You will own both backend and frontend development for internal tools spanning test infrastructure, mission control, and business operations. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing REST/GraphQL APIs, building intuitive web-based UIs for telemetry dashboards and test orchestration, and integrating with hardware design and procurement platforms such as Altium, Arena, and NetSuite. You'll automate manual workflows to increase operational velocity across engineering, production, and satellite operations teams. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, embedded systems specialists, manufacturing teams, and satellite flight control operators. You will own projects end-to-end—from architecture and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and iteration. The position supports both commercial and US Government satellite programs. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, plus 2+ years of professional software engineering experience. You must have strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript with React experience, solid understanding of SQL databases (Postgres), REST/GraphQL API design, and cloud deployment (AWS/GCP). Linux, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes experience is expected. Bonus qualifications include experience with hardware development platforms (Altium, Arena, NetSuite), manufacturing or aerospace systems background, automated test strategies, real-time telemetry systems, ground control interfaces, and hardware-software integration workflows.
