Salary: USD 150,000 - 240,000 / annual
Applied Intuition is a $15B-valued AI company building digital infrastructure for autonomous systems across automotive, defense, trucking, construction, mining, and agriculture. The Mission Control team develops a specialized suite of command & control (C2) user interfaces enabling defense customers to interact with autonomy stacks in simulation and field operations.
You will design and implement a data-oriented frontend platform for defense applications, including mission planning, debrief, command & control, and simulation tools. The role focuses on 2D/3D rendering, geographic visualization, and real-time data interaction for warfighters, program managers, and test engineers. You'll work closely with the Design team to understand user workflows and develop intuitive interfaces that support multi-agent mission workflows.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and build a configurable, stable frontend UI/UX platform with 2D/3D graphics and live agent visualization
- Implement data-oriented architecture with clear separation of concerns and strong test coverage
- Collaborate with Design, Simulation, Data, and Autonomy teams to integrate frontend with state-of-the-art systems
- Develop spatial reasoning solutions for geographic map rendering and selection tools
Required qualifications: Full-stack web development experience, strong UI/UX sensibility, spatial reasoning aptitude, U.S. citizenship, and security clearance eligibility. Nice-to-have skills include WebGL/Cesium/GIS experience, React/TypeScript/Angular proficiency, and familiarity with real-time robotic control interfaces.
This is a high-impact role on a new product team with day-long iteration cycles, operating as a startup within a larger organization. Applied Intuition is headquartered in Sunnyvale with global offices and expects primarily in-office work (5 days/week) with flexibility for occasional remote work.
