As a Full Stack Engineer, you will design and implement end-to-end features across web applications and backend services, working on systems that serve the world's largest financial institutions and regional banks. You'll take complete ownership of requirements, converting them into engineering designs and implementations while ensuring solutions are secure, performant, scalable, and deliver excellent user experiences. The role requires bridging backend and frontend development, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and managing features from testing through production.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and implement end-to-end features across the full stack
- Ensure solutions meet security, performance, scale, and UX requirements
- Write automated unit, integration, and acceptance tests
- Interface with other engineering teams for structured feature delivery
- Debug and manage features from testing to production
- Translate customer requirements into clear, deliverable task plans
- Collaborate with backend, frontend, and full-stack engineers
This is a full-time, permanent position based in the Lisbon office, requiring four days per week onsite.
REQUIREMENTS:
Essential:
- Experience with React and TypeScript
- Proficiency in writing modern web applications
- Experience writing REST APIs and services
- Keen eye for detail and passion for clean, readable, properly tested code
- Experience integrating automated tests into development lifecycle
- Interest in client-facing projects, including scoping requirements and defining deliverables
- Proactive approach to learning and development
Desirable:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar technical field
- Knowledge of banking/finance
- Experience with AWS or other cloud providers
- Proficiency in Golang or Python
- Understanding of UX and UI principles
- Experience with Figma and UI frameworks
- Visual design skills
- Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases
- Experience with client/server or microservice architectures
- Experience with Kubernetes
