Bounce is building cloud storage for the physical world through the world's largest global luggage storage network. You will join the Lisbon office as a Full Stack Engineer, taking ownership of real-world customer problems and crafting intelligent solutions across backend and frontend. You'll own projects spanning consumer apps, growth engines, and partner tools, working as a generalist who thrives on owning features from concept to completion.
Bounce operates in fast-paced 1-week cycles with projects scoped to fit one or two cycles. While projects are led by individuals, they are collaborative efforts requiring feedback and guidance from the team. The ideal candidate is excited by all aspects of software building—not just coding—and can take features from idea to live production.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with global teams to support new product innovations and business initiatives
- Writing high-quality code for mobile and web applications
- Assuming strong ownership of products and services, continuously improving existing code and architecture
- Working in a fast-paced environment with responsibility for production systems
- Working with Elixir, React Native, Expo, React, NextJS, and TypeScript
- Staying current with industry trends and experimenting with new technologies
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years of relevant experience developing and shipping code for production systems
- Proficient coding skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, Elixir, or Ruby
- Experience with frontend frameworks including React, React Native, JavaScript, CSS
- Proven experience building maintainable and testable code bases, including API design and unit/integration testing
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to effectively integrate AI tools into daily operations
- Commitment to creating exceptional end-user experiences with attention to detail
- Current knowledge of relevant technologies and ability to implement them effectively
- Confidence in leveraging AI tooling to enhance productivity
