Pronto AI is a global leader in commercializing autonomous vehicle technology, deploying Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS) that automate operations in mines, quarries, and construction sites worldwide. As a Full Stack Engineer joining the founding team, you will design and build critical software interfaces that connect physical AI systems to the digital world. Your responsibilities include building end-to-end applications and APIs that power autonomous vehicle platforms, architecting real-time user interfaces for internal and external customers, and creating modern frontend and backend experiences that surface insights from high-dimensional data.
You will debug complex issues across the engineering and data stack, partner with product, design, and engineering teams to move systems from concept to production, and drive code reviews, testing, and documentation. As you grow, you'll mentor engineers and move into technical leadership roles.
Required qualifications include 2+ years building fullstack systems with proficiency in TypeScript, Python, or similar languages. You should have deep understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems, with experience building real-time systems using stateful protocols like WebSockets and gRPC streaming. Strong command of relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis) is essential, along with excellent debugging and problem-solving instincts under production pressure. Experience mentoring engineers or leading team projects is a plus.
The role is based in the San Francisco office with five-day-per-week onsite collaboration. Base salary ranges from $145,000 to $183,250 annually, with equity awards and performance-based bonuses.
