Altro Health is building a platform that enables wellness businesses to offer clinical services—blood testing, prescriptions, peptides—supervised by a clinical team. Think Shopify for wellness. The company is backed by top venture capital and founded by Harvard Business School MBAs and experienced operators who've taken startups through exits. As a Full Stack Engineer, you'll join a small, high-velocity engineering team reporting directly to the CTO. You'll ship real features from day one: partner and consumer experiences, dashboards (partner analytics, consumer progress tracking, internal ops), AI-powered workflows using MCP and agentic frameworks, and data-driven features leveraging the company's AI-first data infrastructure. The tech stack includes React, TypeScript, Next.js on the frontend; Go, GraphQL, MongoDB on the backend; Google Cloud (including Healthcare API) for infrastructure; Claude Code and modern agentic dev environments for AI tooling; and modern CI/CD with lints, checks, AI code review, and feature-flagged deployments. You should have 2–4 years of full-stack engineering experience, ideally at a startup. Strong React skills are essential—you've shipped production frontends and know TypeScript, component architecture, state management, and modern build tooling. You're comfortable working across the stack (frontend, API, database), though front-end leaning is fine. You use Claude, Cursor, or equivalent AI tools daily and embrace AI-native development. You thrive at startup pace, ship often, iterate quickly, and want to grow fast. E-commerce or marketplace experience is a plus but not required. The role offers modern AI-native tooling, a data infrastructure built for AI from day one, a codebase that respects your time, a team that levels each other up, minimal meetings, and real autonomy. You'll have direct proximity to founders and product decisions. Base salary is $130,000–$150,000 depending on experience, plus meaningful early-employee equity. Benefits include 100% company-covered medical, dental, and vision; commuter benefits; One Medical membership; Peloton Digital; and a learning and development budget. The schedule is hybrid: 3 days in-office in New York City, remainder remote.
