Teserac is building Neuron™, an AI-native observability and automation platform for data center power operations. The platform gives infrastructure teams real-time visibility into power systems and includes an AI teammate that detects anomalies, correlates events, and recommends actions.
As a Full Stack Developer, you will own features end-to-end across the entire stack: from telemetry ingestion off building management systems (BMS) in live facilities, through the time-series storage layer, to the dashboards operators monitor in real time. You'll work in a small, fast-moving team where code ships in days rather than quarters, and your work runs in environments where correctness has physical consequences.
You will collaborate directly with the Principal Software & Architecture Lead, Product, and Solution Engineering teams. The role emphasizes ownership of outcomes, avoiding bureaucracy, and moving quickly.
**Product and Front End:**
Build operator-facing features in React and TypeScript: real-time dashboards, alerting systems, alarm and ticket workflows, capacity planning views, and power-flow visualizations. Design interfaces for the AI teammate including interaction panels, recommendation displays, approval workflows, and audit trails. Optimize large, data-dense views for performance across devices.
**Data Ingestion and Integrations:**
Own the ingestion pipeline bringing telemetry from customer sites into Neuron™: edge collectors, MQTT over AWS IoT Core, queue-based workers, and normalization into a canonical metric model. Build integration modules against real building and power systems including Siemens Desigo, Schneider PME and EcoStruxure, Niagara, Eaton, and generic BACnet, Modbus, and SNMP sources. Ensure correctness of ingested data: point mapping, unit and phase semantics, deduplication, and backfill.
**Time-Series Platform:**
Develop against PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB: design hypertables, continuous aggregates, compression, and retention strategies. Create schemas and migrations that remain safe as tables grow to billions of rows. Identify and fix performance issues that only surface with real customer data volumes.
**Quality and Operations:**
Write tested, reviewed code and contribute to CI/CD and automated testing. Troubleshoot production issues across the stack and share on-call responsibilities as the platform scales.
**Requirements:**
Required:
- 7+ years building and shipping production software across the full stack
- Strong Python, ideally Django (backend is Django and Celery)
- Strong PostgreSQL: schema design, query performance, and production migrations
- Practical time-series experience (TimescaleDB ideal; deep experience with other time-series or high-volume streaming stores transfers)
- Solid React and TypeScript with judgment to keep data-heavy interfaces fast
- Experience with asynchronous and event-driven systems: task queues, pub/sub, streaming, or WebSockets
- Comfortable on AWS (ECS Fargate, RDS, ElastiCache, IoT Core)
- Ability to work independently, define scope from rough requirements, and ship
Preferred:
- Industrial or IoT telemetry experience: BMS, EPMS, DCIM, SCADA, or similar OT data sources
- Hands-on experience with industrial protocols: BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, or vendor BMS APIs
- Data center infrastructure familiarity: power distribution topology, UPS and PDU behavior, or PUE
- Experience building observability or monitoring products (commercial or internal)
- Early-stage startup experience (Seed through Series B)
