You'll join the Frontend Platform team as a Senior Frontend Engineer, responsible for building the foundational frontend infrastructure that powers all of Doppel's products. This is a small, high-impact team with significant autonomy and influence over the company's technical direction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining the shared frontend infrastructure (application shell, data layer, routing, auth, build/deploy pipeline) that all product teams depend on
- Evolving the design system from a component library into a constrained, composable contract with tokens, documentation, and guardrails
- Creating the design-to-production pipeline with tooling and agent workflows that enable designers and product teams to ship production-quality surfaces without hand-writing frontend code
- Implementing platform-level safety through permissioning, observability, accessibility, and internationalization baked into core primitives
- Owning production health of the shared client with monitoring, SLOs, and automated failure routing
- Packaging the platform for scale through versioned component libraries and scaffolding for new product surfaces
- Partnering closely with design and product teams as your primary customers, measuring success by their velocity
You bring 5+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in React and TypeScript, proven track record building and operating production web applications, and experience owning platform-level frontend work (design systems, component libraries, build tooling, data-layer patterns like Relay, or frontend infrastructure). You're genuinely excited about AI-assisted development and see agents as a way to raise abstraction levels while building safe guardrails. You have a platform mindset, measure success by what others can ship without you, and thrive in ambiguity as the team's charter evolves. Strong plus: production monitoring experience (RUM, SLOs, error budgets) and deep collaboration with designers (design tokens, Figma workflows, Storybook). You're product-minded, highly autonomous, and comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment with exceptional communication skills.
