Omnea is a Series B AI-native procurement platform that has raised $75M from top-tier VCs (Khosla Ventures, Insight Partners, Accel) and is trusted by enterprises like Spotify, MongoDB, and Monzo. The company has 10x'd ARR to double-digit millions in 18 months and is ranked the 4th fastest-growing startup in Europe.
You'll own the frontend at Omnea as a Senior Frontend Engineer. The role centers on three core responsibilities: owning and evolving the design system (components, patterns, tokens, documentation, adoption); owning frontend architecture (deployment strategy, performance, build tooling, conventions); and setting standards for how the entire engineering organization builds interfaces.
The scope is significant: you'll work across every product team, multiplying your impact as the engineering team doubles in size over the next year and the customer base grows from ~180 to 300+ enterprises. Procurement interfaces are complex—approval workflows that branch and re-route, dense tables for daily use, adaptive intake forms—and getting this right is the difference between tolerated and loved software.
You'll partner closely with product designers and product managers on every cross-functional team. The tech stack is modern: TypeScript, React, Next.js, Meticulous for visual regression testing, Postgres, AWS serverless (Lambda, DynamoDB, EventBridge), Pulumi, GitHub Actions, and Datadog. AI is embedded in the development process—engineers use Claude Code and agentic workflows daily. The team deploys multiple times per day, enabling rapid iteration and direct customer feedback loops.
The engineering culture emphasizes high trust, ownership, collaboration, and continuous customer engagement. The founding team includes ex-leaders from Tessian (Sequoia/Balderton/Accel-backed, acquired post-Series C) and operators who've scaled unicorns and shipped world-class products.
