Lightning AI is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to develop and scale the UI and frontend infrastructure of its end-to-end AI platform. In this position, you will take ownership of key frontend features and drive them end-to-end, collaborating closely with engineering, product, and design teams to ship high-quality, iterative improvements. You'll write clean, testable, and efficient code in React and Redux while building deep expertise in the technology stack. Your responsibilities include partnering with engineering and product leaders on UI and frontend infrastructure development, setting technical direction for large projects, and evaluating and strengthening technical architecture, tools, and processes.
You will maintain high standards for software quality by implementing automation, driving continuous delivery, and reducing time to production while proactively addressing technical debt. A key aspect of this role is mentoring and coaching engineers on system design, operating in high uncertainty, and problem-solving to foster a supportive, inclusive team environment.
Required qualifications include proficiency in React, JavaScript, and TypeScript; strong understanding of software engineering principles and lifecycle; hands-on experience as a Frontend Engineer in a SaaS technology company; proven ability to take ownership of key features and drive end-to-end development; excellent communication and collaboration skills with engineers, product managers, and designers; and the ability to operate effectively in high uncertainty and rapidly changing environments.
The role is based in one of Lightning AI's hubs: New York City, San Francisco, Seattle, or London, with a minimum of 2 in-office days per week and occasional team and company offsites.
