Catawiki is a curated marketplace for buying and selling special objects—from sports memorabilia to fossils to celebrity collectibles. With over 25 million objects sold and 100,000+ unique items auctioned weekly, the company is scaling rapidly as a sustainable, diverse scale-up.
You'll join one of Catawiki's core Development Verticals (Demand, Supply, or Fulfilment) as a Senior Frontend Engineer, working alongside Backend, iOS, and Android engineers to build product innovations across the platform. You'll report to a Tech Lead Manager and collaborate closely with QA, UX Designers, and Product Managers to create beautiful, responsive web frontends on top of scalable microservices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building impactful product experiences for buyers, sellers, customer service, and internal operations teams
- Creating adaptable web frontends using TypeScript and ReactJS
- Delivering responsive, accessible experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile
- Optimizing product performance through measurement, monitoring, and data-driven insights
- Running A/B tests and experiments with Product Managers to validate ideas
- Collaborating across engineering, design, and product to build scalable, maintainable solutions
You bring extensive frontend experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, a strong portfolio of past deliveries, and a track record of lifting team capability. You have deep web foundations (HTML, CSS, HTTP/S, CRP, CORS, caching, CDNs), familiarity with modern frameworks (ReactJS, NextJS, Redux, Tailwind, CSS Modules), and proven experience in product-driven companies working autonomously within cross-functional teams. You own production systems end-to-end and are eager to expand your impact and take the next step in your career.
