Salary: USD 160,000 - 195,000 / annual
LangChain is hiring a Frontend Engineer to develop and enhance features on LangSmith, their enterprise observability and evaluation platform for LLM applications. You'll work on a product used by 6,000+ active customers including 5 of the Fortune 10 and 35% of the Fortune 500.
In this role, you will develop new user-facing features using React and TypeScript, build reusable component libraries, translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code, and optimize components for performance across devices and browsers. You'll collaborate closely with fullstack and backend engineers, as well as UX/UI designers, to enhance usability and user experience.
You should bring 2+ years of front-end engineering experience with strong proficiency in React, JavaScript, and TypeScript. You'll need hands-on experience with front-end development tools (Babel, Vite, Webpack, NPM, Yarn), familiarity with REST APIs, knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms like JWTs, and a passion for clean, engaging, intuitive interfaces. Strong communication skills are essential—you'll explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You thrive in fast-paced, unstructured startup environments, take ownership of your work, and ideally have a computer science degree or related background.
