Snowflake is seeking a Frontend AI Principal Engineer to lead the design and development of Cortex Code (CoCo), the company's flagship coding agent platform for data. This is a principal-level individual contributor role focused on delivering exceptional user experiences at the intersection of AI agents and frontend engineering. You will own the architectural vision for the CoCo platform's user interface, ensuring consistency of design abstractions across the product surface. Your responsibilities include designing and building innovative, polished experiences that make complex data problems accessible; defining platform offerings with a global mindset; and collaborating closely with design, product management, and sister teams (data sharing, cloud infrastructure, cross-region replication). You will contribute to product vision and team planning, motivate others through compelling communication and collaborative leadership, and build for scale and high performance. This role offers broad creative license to push boundaries in interaction design and user experience for agentic systems. Required qualifications: 15+ years of product web UI application development experience; expertise with agentic systems and/or coding agents; experience building rich interactive dashboards and data visualization platforms; deep understanding of modern web application architecture, API design, performance, and scale; demonstrated technical leadership (architect or tech lead on high-impact customer-facing projects); proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, Node.js; and familiarity with the full software development lifecycle. Preferred: distributed systems development experience; experience with Electron and VS Code tools/libraries; and hands-on experience with agentic SDLC. You'll join Snowflake's engineering team building an industry-leading cloud data platform trusted by hundreds of customers processing millions of complex queries daily. The role combines technical depth with the opportunity to shape how enterprise users interact with powerful, highly technical products.
