Tripledot Studios, one of the world's largest independent mobile games companies with 2,500+ employees across 12 studios, is seeking a Fraud Analyst for PuzzlePlay, its new player rewards platform. PuzzlePlay allows users to earn points, complete challenges, and win real prizes while playing casual free-to-play mobile games.
You will own the fraud side of the user segmentation system, working to distinguish suspicious activity from legitimate users. The role involves regularly reviewing and refining fraud signals—including IP spoofing, VPN use, and unusual play patterns—as fraud tactics evolve. You'll manage fraud-related segments of the user segmentation system, from signal interpretation to ongoing monitoring of category effectiveness.
Key responsibilities include:
- Review fraud signals regularly, adding, removing, and refining them to identify suspicious activity
- Own fraud-related segments of the user segmentation system and monitor their performance over time
- Collaborate with the product team on fraud verification tools for different markets (currently using FaceTec for facial verification; may expand to ID scanning or phone verification)
- Investigate users flagged for manual review, including ambiguous cases, and improve the review process
- Identify gaps in available signals and recommend third-party tools for the product roadmap
You'll work alongside the analyst responsible for gameplay signals, product colleagues, and data teams to keep the fraud detection system effective as patterns change. The role is open to candidates based in Europe, with Warsaw preferred as several team members are based there.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Hands-on experience using data to investigate fraud and shape detection or prevention decisions (not just working alongside a fraud team)
- Experience designing or improving fraud signals, user segments, or review processes, with interest in how decisions evolve as tactics change
- Ability to work with product and other teams to turn analysis into operational fraud controls
