Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior FPGA Engineer to join the Battlespace Awareness team in Fort Collins, Colorado. This role focuses on developing state-of-the-art radar systems for U.S. and allied military applications. You will serve as the technical lead for FPGA development supporting airborne radar products, establishing foundational design processes and best practices for the team.
Key responsibilities include leading FPGA architecture, design, and verification efforts from concept through production; translating signal processing algorithms into efficient, high-performance FPGA implementations on Altera SOC/FPGA platforms; and establishing robust FPGA design processes, coding standards, and verification methodologies. You will design and implement digital signal processing chains for radar systems, including data acquisition, filtering, and real-time processing, while performing timing analysis, resource optimization, and debugging of complex FPGA designs.
Collaboration is central to this role—you will work closely with the Battlespace Awareness engineering team across multiple sites to ensure design consistency and knowledge transfer, and mentor other engineers as the team scales FPGA capabilities. You will develop and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including architecture specifications, design reviews, and verification plans.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering, or a related field, plus 12+ years of professional experience in FPGA design and development. You must have strong expertise in RTL design using SystemVerilog and/or VHDL, demonstrated experience with Altera FPGA devices and development tools (Quartus, Vivado, etc.), and proven experience implementing digital signal processing on FPGAs. Experience with FPGA verification methodologies and simulation tools is essential. The ideal candidate is self-directed, capable of independently driving projects from algorithmic requirements through to hardware implementation, and thrives in establishing new technical capabilities.
