Reliever is building a financial operating system for volunteer-run nonprofit youth sports associations. These organizations manage hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars annually through dues, fundraisers, sponsorships, and charitable gambling—all handled by volunteers using outdated tools like spreadsheets, personal QuickBooks files, and email. Reliever replaces this patchwork with a modern platform combining software, embedded banking, and professional accounting services.
As the founding product manager, you will own the complete product lifecycle end-to-end: discovery with real volunteer treasurers, definition, prioritization, and delivery with the engineering team. The platform spans bookkeeping and reporting, team card programs, embedded banking, and nonprofit tax and compliance—a genuinely deep product surface.
Reliever is an AI-first company, and this role emphasizes AI-first product management. You will establish modern AI-assisted product development practices, using AI to convert epics into clear user stories, generate specifications, and maintain rapid engineering velocity with a small team.
Key responsibilities include owning the product roadmap from discovery through post-launch iteration; translating company strategy and design-partner feedback into well-formed epics with clear success metrics; applying AI best practices to decompose work into developable stories with acceptance criteria and compliance logic; running the delivery cadence with engineering and external partners; and sitting in sessions with association treasurers to translate pain points into requirements.
You will also build the AI-native product practice by establishing specs, templates, and prompt libraries that amplify one PM's output; orchestrating AI agents for research, documentation, and QA; partnering with the founding CPA to encode accounting and compliance logic into product requirements; and helping shape pricing and roadmap as an early founding-team voice.
This is a hybrid role based in Minneapolis and Stillwater, Minnesota, requiring up to three days per week in office. You must currently reside in or be relocating to Minnesota. You join as one of the first hires on the founding team, working directly with the CEO and leadership.
