H Company is a next-generation AI research and product company pioneering autonomous, agentic AI systems. The Forward Deployed Team ensures successful implementation of AI agents that help customers automate and optimize critical tasks while shaping the future vision of H's products through field learnings.
As a Founding Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work directly with customers to identify high-impact multi-step tasks for automation. You'll seamlessly integrate with customer systems including databases, third-party APIs, and internal tools. The role requires rapidly iterating in the field with tight feedback loops to continuously improve product fit and deliver end-to-end solutions.
Key responsibilities include architecting, building, and maintaining production-grade services that scale with usage and complexity. You'll collaborate closely with product, research, and engineering teams to shape the roadmap based on field findings. This is a customer-facing role requiring strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in ambiguous environments.
You should have 3+ years of professional AI and software engineering experience, ideally in fast-paced environments like startups or consulting. Heavy fluency in Python is required, with familiarity in TypeScript. Experience with backend frameworks (FastAPI, Next.js) and frontend frameworks (React) is essential. You must have demonstrated experience building and deploying production systems including APIs, services, infrastructure, and data pipelines. Strong experience integrating third-party APIs, databases, and external systems securely is critical.
The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent communication skills, bias for action, and willingness to travel for on-site deployments or customer engagements. You should be comfortable working autonomously with real curiosity about AI systems and their real-world applications.
