You will be the founding Clinical Coordinator for Stepful's new Radiologic Technology A.A.S. program leading to ARRT (R) certification eligibility. This is a ground-up build of the clinical education component for a program where employers sponsor student education and Stepful provides accreditation, curriculum, and instruction. Clinical labs and rotations happen inside partner facilities, so students train where they'll eventually work.
You will own the clinical education strategy and execution: build and qualify the clinical site network by conducting pre-placement evaluations of prospective partner facilities, secure accreditor recognition of each clinical setting, maintain clinical affiliation agreements, and designate clinical preceptors. You'll correlate clinical and didactic education by aligning classroom learning with clinical rotations, sequence clinical objectives, and formally evaluate correlation each term.
You will run clinical placement and scheduling, ensuring equitable access to diverse procedures, maintaining 1:1 student-to-staff ratios, capping clinical involvement at ten hours per day, and orienting students to each site. You'll enforce supervision and radiation safety protocols, including direct supervision until competency, indirect supervision thereafter, radiation exposure reporting within 30 days, and MRI safety screening.
You will develop and support clinical preceptors by onboarding them, training on clinical objectives and competency evaluation, keeping them current on policies and student progress, and serving as their day-to-day contact. You'll track clinical competency progression, provide documented advisement, and build remediation plans for students who fall behind.
You'll support accreditation and assessment by contributing clinical evidence to self-study reports, annual reports, substantive change filings, and site visit preparation. You'll participate in didactic and/or clinical instruction, with the opportunity to teach clinical courses for the first cohort. You'll maintain professional currency through continuing professional development and stay current on program policies and student progress.
Travel to partner sites is required for site readiness evaluations, preceptor development, clinical visits, student advisement, and accreditation visits—likely up to once monthly in 2026, scaling to up to 50% travel starting 2027. All travel and program-related expenses are reimbursed.
You report to the Imagine Programs Lead and work alongside the Program Director, who owns overall program operations and accreditation. Per accreditation requirements, the Clinical Coordinator is a distinct role from the Program Director and is not identified as a clinical preceptor at any clinical setting.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Reliable access to a major airport and availability to travel to Texas
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or CHEA
- Current ARRT R.T.(R) certification
- Current Texas GMRT certificate from the Texas Board of Medical Radiologic Technology
- Minimum two years' clinical experience in radiography
- Minimum one year's experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program
- Proficient in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising
- Working knowledge of the JRCERT Standards for an Accredited Educational Program in Radiography and of ABHES clinical experience requirements (or willingness to learn)
BONUS:
- Prior clinical coordinator or clinical instructor experience in a JRCERT-accredited radiography program
