Huzzle is an AI-talent marketplace that places pre-vetted remote talent (sales, marketing, ops, finance, engineering) with VC-backed startups and fast-growing SMBs. The company was ranked the 7th fastest-growing in the UK in 2026 and operates a ~40-person team across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
You will own the bug and feature queue for Huzzle's internal tools—systems the entire team uses daily. This is a hybrid product and building role where you'll triage requests, prioritize by business impact, and ship fixes and features. You'll work directly with the COO and CCO.
Key responsibilities include:
- Triaging and prioritizing the bug and feature queue based on business impact
- Talking to users to understand the actual problem before building
- Thinking about end-to-end user experience and fixing confusing or slow workflows proactively
- Building and shipping small features using AI coding tools (Lovable, Bolt, v0, Cursor, Claude Code)
- Testing thoroughly before shipping
- Spotting potential breaking changes and flagging them early
- Maintaining documentation to speed up future fixes
- Taking on larger projects over time that improve business operations
The role emphasizes that "the code is the easy part now." What matters is knowing what to build, why it matters to the business, and making tools people enjoy using. You'll use AI tools rather than writing everything from scratch, but you need to understand what's happening under the hood well enough to predict cascading failures.
Requirements:
- Business-minded: you care about why something is being built and whether it moves a number, not just whether it works
- Product sense: you think about the user first, notice bad experiences, and have opinions on how things should work and feel
- Demonstrated building experience: a side project, internal tool, app, automation, or anything you can show (built with AI tools is fine)
- Technical fundamentals: understand how databases work, what APIs do, how frontend and backend connect, and the impact of schema changes on dependent systems
- Careful and thorough: you test your own work and don't ship things you don't understand
- Strong written English for async Slack-based communication
- Fast, proactive, high-energy approach; you don't wait to be told what to do next
- 1–3 years of experience (background in engineering, product, consulting, or startups is a plus, not required)
- Experience with AI coding tools: Lovable, Bolt, v0, Cursor, or Claude Code
- Prior experience in a startup or recruiting/marketplace business
