Brderless is building a curated network for the tech ecosystem, bringing founders, operators, and investors together through invitation-only dinners, breakfasts, workshops, and hackathons. The company has grown to nearly $1M in revenue in 18 months with 5,000+ vetted members and a 15,000-person tech newsletter, operating with a lean team. As Founder Associate for Growth & Partnerships, you will own three core areas: **The Rooms**: End-to-end production of curated events—sourcing and vetting attendees, running the day, and follow-up that converts attendees into relationships. You will make curation judgments about who belongs at each event type and represent the founder when she cannot attend. **The Member System**: Build and maintain a single source of truth on network members, what they're building, and what they need. You'll own CRM hygiene, intro tracking, warm-intro routing, and standardized follow-up sequences after every event. **The Machine Underneath**: Create playbooks, templates, and AI-assisted workflows to scale event production. You'll audit current processes, identify breakdowns, and have authority to fix them. You'll also coordinate volunteers in New York. **Content & Voice**: You'll own room recaps, newsletter operations, and the content pipeline. You'll post publicly under both the Brderless name and your own—the founder wants your ideas and visibility, not just editing. In your first 90 days, you'll shadow full event cycles, deliver a process audit, take over logistics, run your first event end-to-end, launch the member CRM, establish follow-up sequences, document systems, and begin sitting in on partner conversations. You should be good with people and systems—that combination is rare and is the whole job. You're comfortable being visible (posting, hosting, introducing yourself to founders). You have taste and standards; curation is the product, and members will notice sloppiness instantly. You work with high context and low instruction. You're hungry and take blunt feedback well. You care about tech and founders specifically, not just event production. You don't need an existing network, but you need the willingness to build one publicly. Nice-to-haves include sponsorship or partnership experience (even at small scale), an existing footprint in SF or NYC tech, experience producing large-format events (150+ people), or a side project you built independently. The role involves some travel (mainly to cover events the founder cannot attend), early mornings and occasional evenings for breakfast and dinner events, and close, often in-person collaboration with the founder. Full-time, with a growth path to Chief of Staff or Head of Partnerships. The hiring process includes a first conversation with the founder, a case study (auditing Brderless and proposing changes), a paid one-week trial, and a final conversation with a fast decision timeline. **Requirements**: No formal years-of-experience requirement stated. The posting emphasizes mindset and capability over credentials: comfort with visibility and public-facing work, ability to read rooms and follow up without prompting, taste and standards, ability to work with high context and low instruction, hunger and coachability, genuine care for the tech/founder ecosystem, and willingness to build a network publicly. Nice-to-haves include prior sponsorship/partnership handling, existing SF/NYC tech presence, large-event production experience, or evidence of self-directed project building.
