Dexterity is seeking a Forward Deployed Transformation Lead to lead onsite Physical AI deployment execution for a major customer program in the Hagerstown, Maryland area. This role serves as the operational leader responsible for coordinating site readiness, installation, commissioning, training, operational handoff, and customer adoption across complex industrial robotics deployments. You will work across Customer Success, Product, Field Engineering, Field Services, Support, Commercial, and customer operations teams to ensure successful deployment and long-term operational success. This is a highly visible role where your decisions directly influence deployment quality, customer trust, operational readiness, and Dexterity's ability to scale Physical AI systems in production environments. Key responsibilities include maintaining integrated execution plans across site readiness, installation, commissioning, and handoff activities; leading day-to-day coordination with systems integrators, subcontractors, vendors, and customer stakeholders; driving execution accountability through structured tracking of owners, milestones, blockers, and risks; reviewing technical documentation including SOWs, engineering drawings, and commissioning plans; auditing field execution against approved requirements; managing deployment punch lists and validating completion evidence; tracking schedule performance and deployment readiness metrics; escalating issues proactively with clear recommendations; partnering with customer operations leaders on workflow design and system utilization; and capturing deployment lessons learned to improve methodologies. The role requires 7-10 years of experience leading complex technical deployments in robotics, industrial automation, warehouse automation, or material handling systems. You must have operated at a Manager, Site Execution Lead, Technical Program Manager, or Deployment Manager level with strong technical literacy across robotics, automation, controls, electrical and mechanical systems. You should be able to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and commissioning plans; manage vendors and contractors; assess technical and operational readiness independently; and demonstrate strong project execution and risk management skills. Excellent communication with technical teams, customers, and executives is essential. Willingness to be onsite regularly throughout deployment and commissioning is required. Preferred qualifications include experience in parcel, logistics, fulfillment, warehouse, or distribution center environments; responsibility for day-to-day operational performance in warehouse settings; experience with robotics systems, PLCs, industrial controls, safety systems, or site acceptance testing; and relevant certifications such as PMP or Industrial Engineering.
