Prophecy.io, a Series B AI-native data preparation and analytics platform, is seeking a Forward Deployed Solution Engineer to bridge technical sales and customer implementation. You will own the complete technical customer journey from initial discovery through production deployment, partnering closely with Account Executives to win strategic deals and then leading hands-on implementations.
Key responsibilities include leading deep technical discovery and solution design to influence deal outcomes; translating complex business requirements into clear technical architectures and executable project roadmaps; building and shipping production-ready implementations including integrations, scripts, API configurations, and data flows; driving time-to-value by leading end-to-end deployments with initial value milestones within 60–90 days; owning the transition from sales to implementation including scoping and SOW creation; acting as a strategic technical advisor on architecture decisions and scalability; identifying expansion opportunities to drive adoption; surfacing product feedback from customer challenges; and managing multiple high-impact projects simultaneously.
Required qualifications: 5+ years in technical pre-sales (Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering) and 5+ years in customer-facing technical roles (Forward Deployed Engineering, Implementation Engineering, or Software Engineering). Strong hands-on experience building and shipping production systems in customer environments. Proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting language (Python, JavaScript, or similar). Experience with APIs, webhooks, and system integrations. Familiarity with modern data stacks (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery) and ETL workflows. Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred: high-growth startup experience, solution architecture background, SOW authoring experience, data modeling and pipeline expertise, and comfort across the full customer lifecycle.
