Salesforce is hiring Forward Deployed Engineers to design, build, and deploy agentic AI solutions directly inside enterprise customer environments. You'll work as part of a delivery team, partnering closely with a Deployment Strategist to co-build solutions that go live in production from day one. This role spans configuration, customization, and full-stack deployment across real customer accounts.
You'll develop AI agents and experiences that take real actions for real organizations, with solutions deployed at some of the largest enterprises globally. Key responsibilities include: designing agent intelligence (prompts, reasoning, tool calls, system integrations) leveraging Salesforce's Agentic AI platform and current LLM techniques; owning technical components end-to-end from architecture to production deployment; building and integrating data pipelines on Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms; building agent performance dashboards and customer KPI reporting; contributing to proofs-of-concept and MVPs that move from concept to deployment in days; and co-building alongside customers and partners to share best practices.
You'll have access to best-in-class AI tools including Cursor, Claude, and Salesforce coding products embedded into your workflow. You'll work alongside Senior Forward Deployed Engineers with structured mentorship and clear paths to leading complex deliveries. You'll have frontier access to the evolving agentic AI platform, working on capabilities most engineers won't touch for months, with your field insights feeding directly to product teams.
Required: 3+ years of software engineering or technical delivery experience with at least one production system you can walk through (ideally in AI tech stacks, full-stack development, or frontier models); Computer Science degree or related field; prior customer-facing technical delivery experience (consulting, professional services, or forward deployed engineering); fluency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex; hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering; strong understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns; ability to communicate effectively with sales teams and customer architects; and willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time for direct customer engagement.
Nice-to-haves include Salesforce platform experience or certifications (Administrator, Platform Developer I, Agentforce Specialist) and familiarity with agent frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex.
