Praxipal is building Luna, an AI-powered receptionist and administrative workforce for medical practices. Luna automates phone calls, patient communication, scheduling, invoicing, and documentation workflows—freeing medical staff to focus on patient care. The company is one of Europe's fastest-growing healthtech startups, backed by leading European investors, with a team from Palantir, Amazon, SAP, and top universities.
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will own the technical success of Praxipal's most important customer deployments. This is a hands-on role sitting at the intersection of engineering, product, and customer reality.
Core responsibilities include:
- Own end-to-end technical onboarding of new customers, from first deployment to stable production
- Configure and customize Luna to fit different medical practice setups, workflows, and constraints
- Implement customer-specific solutions and feed recurring patterns back to the core product team
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for your assigned customer base
- Identify friction in onboarding and operations, then build automations and tooling to remove it
- Build internal tools, scripts, and automations to help scale the forward deployed engineering team
- Support Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing with technical insights and targeted improvements
- Investigate and resolve production issues, turning learnings into lasting fixes
You must have hands-on programming experience, proven ability to own software systems end-to-end, comfort working directly with customers on technical topics, and fluent German (spoken and written). The role is 100% on-site in Berlin in a fast-moving, build-mode environment.
Nice-to-have skills include strong TypeScript and/or Python experience, startup or scale-up background, familiarity with observability tools (Sentry, Grafana, Langfuse), prior customer-facing technical work, and experience improving processes through automation.
