Cohere is a leading enterprise AI company building cutting-edge foundation models and end-to-end products for businesses. This role is part of the North team, Cohere's AI workspace platform designed to help enterprises securely deploy and integrate AI into their operations.
As a Forward Deployed Engineer specializing in infrastructure, you will lead end-to-end deployments of North in private cloud and on-premises environments for enterprise clients including RBC, Dell, and LG CNS. You'll work across finance, healthcare, and telecommunications sectors, serving as a technical bridge between Cohere's product and customer engineering teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning, configuring, testing, and rolling out North deployments in private/hybrid cloud and on-premises environments
- Partnering with enterprise IT teams to assess infrastructure, security requirements, and data management practices
- Designing and implementing deployment strategies tailored to client needs while ensuring compliance with data privacy and security standards
- Troubleshooting and resolving deployment-related technical issues to minimize downtime
- Executing at high velocity with high quality to deliver solutions exceeding customer expectations
You should have proven experience deploying enterprise software in private/hybrid cloud environments, administering production Kubernetes clusters with Helm expertise, and strong knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Cloud infrastructure expertise (Azure, AWS, GCP), networking, and virtualization are essential. You'll thrive in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities, work effectively with customers, and be fluent in Korean with business-level English.
The role involves 20-40% travel.
