Cohere is a leading enterprise AI company building cutting-edge foundation models and end-to-end products for businesses. This role is part of the North team, which develops Cohere's AI workspace platform—a secure, customizable environment for enterprises to deploy AI while maintaining control over sensitive data.
As a Forward Deployed Engineer specializing in infrastructure, you will serve as a bridge between Cohere's North product and enterprise clients' engineering teams. You'll work with industry leaders including RBC, Dell, and LG CNS, solving complex problems in critical sectors such as finance, healthcare, and telecommunications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead end-to-end deployment of North in private cloud and on-premises environments, including planning, configuration, testing, and rollout
- Partner with enterprise IT teams to assess infrastructure, security requirements, and data management practices
- Design and implement deployment strategies tailored to client needs, ensuring compliance with data privacy and security standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve deployment-related technical issues, providing timely solutions to minimize downtime
- Experiment at high velocity with high quality to deliver solutions that exceed customer expectations
- Travel to customer premises 20-40% of the time
You will work in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift, and you'll need to execute effectively while maintaining quality. This is a customer-facing technical role requiring strong communication and problem-solving skills.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience deploying enterprise software in private/hybrid cloud environments
- Proven experience administering large-scale production Kubernetes clusters with Helm expertise
- Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP), networking, and virtualization
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Git version control
- Experience working directly with customers
- Ability to excel in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities
- Fluency in Arabic and English (required)
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with GPU node orchestration and scheduling
- Understanding of the intersection of GPU infrastructure, inference systems, Kubernetes, distributed systems, and performance optimization
