Salary: USD 190,000 - 250,000 / annual
Sim is building a platform to automate knowledge work by creating autonomous AI agents for enterprise systems. The company helps teams connect their integrations, build a knowledge graph of company data and processes, and then develop and monitor AI agents and workflows that run production systems.
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work directly with customers to transform their workflows into production-ready agents. You will own deployments end-to-end: developing a deep understanding of customer problems, building integrations, shipping agents and evaluation systems, and engineering systems for continuous improvement. Your frontline experience will directly shape Sim's product direction by identifying recurring challenges, translating production feedback into platform capabilities, and informing the company's technical roadmap.
Sim is a talent-dense, mission-driven team of 10 working full-time in person in San Francisco with a flat organizational structure. You'll work directly with the founders and own your work from idea to execution. The company sponsors visas for qualified candidates.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to build useful software and work through unfamiliar systems
- Strong technical communication skills to explain engineering decisions clearly
- Comfort working directly with customers and taking projects from initial conversation through production deployment
- New graduates welcome; projects, internships, and independent work count as relevant experience
